Missoula Children's Theatre

13474_qc_missoula-childrens-theatre_30-years-logo_03012019.pngThis summer, the Quick celebrates its 30th season of Missoula Children’s Theatre Camps. This renowned children’s summer theatre program offers six sessions from which to choose with a performance on the Friday evening at the end of each session. A total of 60 community children, grades 1-12, may be registered in each weekly session.

A variety of speaking and ensemble roles are offered. No advance preparation is needed.

Sessions

Pinocchio

July 8 - 12

Even as the lonely and kind woodcarver worked far into the night, old Geppetto was not aware that the wood under the chisel had come from the trunk of an enchanted tree. But the Blue Fairy was aware, as she watched from afar and gave to Pinocchio the gift of life.

Peter And Wendy

July 15 - 19

When Captain Hook sends his right-hand man, Smee, on a quest to capture Peter Pan, it’s seemingly business as usual…at first. Little does Hook realize what fantastic adventures await him and his pirate posse in their search for the elusive Peter Pan.

Aladdin

July 22 - 26

For Aladdin, it’s not easy to find a magic lamp but it’s even harder to get a date! It’s a swirling sandstorm of famous Arabian Tales from Ali Baba to Scheherazade, and even Sinbad the Sailor, as Aladdin journeys to find a magic lamp in a Cave of (not-so-great) Wonders.

Robinson Crusoe

July 29 - Aug 2

We arrive on Robinson’s island years after he and his goat named Wilson are shipwrecked. The island has become a tourist destination with a lovable singing leopard, a native tribe known for its colorful coifs, Friday’s Seaside Resort and, of course, the legend of Robinson Crusoe.

Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs

Aug. 5-9

A young princess named Show White finds herself in peril when her step-mother, the Queen, is told by her Magic Mirror that the princess is fairer than she!

The Emperor’s New Clothes

Aug. 12 - 16

“Dress for success” is good advice that the Emperor takes whole-heartedly, wanting to impress new friends. But where to stop? When the clothes (and other people’s opinions) become more important than the people of the kingdom, trouble brews.
