Director’s Cut marks the directing debut of advanced theatre students who are tackling five short plays dealing with different situations grounded in human connection. The plays include Hot Wax, in which the sale of a silk scarf quickly becomes something more, directed by Kiersten Bjork ’21; The Competent Heart, where bookstore banter takes on a new level of meaning, directed by Tracy Ferguson ’22; Talking About It, the story of what might be the very last cup of coffee between friends, directed by Carlin Fournier ’22; Contact, which follows an astronaut alone and adrift in space, directed by Park Lytle ’21; and Undress Me Clarence, the results of a quirky request at a bar, directed by Jay Martins ’22.

The Director’s Cut cast features Chloe Cofini ’24, Madelyn Dutilly ’22, Kierstin Jones ’21, Grace Kavulich ’22, Emily Sheridan ’24, Danielle Sondgeroth ’22, and Catherine Zarrella ’24, as well as guest artists Jerome Francisco, Emily Ramsey ’20, and Fallon Sullivan ‘20.

Due to the current regulations in place because of the pandemic, Director’s Cut will be livestreamed on Zoom. You will be able to sit comfortably in your home and watch the performance! When you purchase a ticket, you will then be sent a Zoom link via email on the day of the performance. Theatre Fairfield will have Tech Support on call to assist you as needed.
