Since climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro at the early age of 11, Richard Wiese has circled the globe living one adventure after another writing his own fascinating life story.

Believing that “your life is not a bucket list but rather a series of short stories of which you are the author,” Wiese brings a seasoned traveler’s curiosity and appetite for discovery to his role as the host of the public television series Weekends with Yankee.

Weise comes to the Quick to share his insights and perspective gained through his travel to all seven continents and through his numerous expeditions and projects, including two expeditions to Antarctica, cross-country skiing to the North Pole, and participating in the largest medical expedition ever conducted on Mount Everest.

Wiese was named the youngest person to become president of The Explorers Club in 2002, is the host of the Emmy Award-winning television series Born to Explore with Richard Wiese, and is the author of the guidebook Born to Explore: How to Be a Backyard Adventurer.
