The past and promise of American music.

Rolling Stone

New Orleans has been the place at which sounds and cultures from around the world converge, transformed by the Crescent City’s spirit and joie de vivre. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band has vividly embodied this history, holding the torch of New Orleans music aloft for more than 50 years while carrying it enthusiastically forward as a reminder that the history they were founded to preserve is vibrant and living. In this spirited and diverse evening, the band celebrates 60 years of their home, New Orleans’ music venue, Preservation Hall.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band has shared festival stages from Coachella to Newport with legends including Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Allen Toussaint and the Grateful Dead as well as modern giants including the Foo Fighters, Tom Waits, My Morning Jacket, Arcade Fire and the Black Keys.
