It is our story in sound. The evolution of American popular music may be our greatest gift to the world. Blues, rock, jazz, country, soul, hip-hop and beyond have been a soundtrack of the American experience. This series explores American music through concerts and listening sessions with special guest artists, along with workshops and special presentations in public schools.
Our culture is a musical one and valuing that collective story is essential to our identity as a nation – revealing insights of who we are. The American Music Series celebrates the rich musical history of our past while sharing insight on the music of tomorrow.
