Following her acclaimed 2024 debut in Madama Butterfly, soprano Asmik Grigorian returns to the Met to star as Tatiana, the lovestruck young heroine, in Tchaikovsky’s passionate adaptation of Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin. The production also features baritone Igor Golovatenko as the urbane Onegin, who realizes his affection for Tatiana too late. Directed by Tony Award-winner Deborah Warner, the Met’s evocative staging has been praised for its rich detail and emotional depth.
